Dryer Vent Cleaning and Installation

You would be surprised how often dryer vents start house fires. Is your dryer taking longer to dry your clothes? Give us a call, we will inspect and clean your whole system. Give recommendations, and provide solutions.

Dryer vents come in many different lengths and routes; whoever installs the dryer vent usually wants to take the path of least resistance, and least obstruction to slow down the travel of the lint.

Whoever builds the home, should put the dryer vent on the outside of the home, so that it’s a 2-3’ run directly outside, and it will be much less likely to get clogged, therefore your clothes dry faster for longer, and less chance of a fire.

However, a lot of homes are built with the laundry room in the middle of the home; So the dryer vent ought to be ran straight through the attic, then roof. Sometimes there is need for a 30 degree elbow in the roof, to avoid hvac or plumbing, and that is fine.

Unfortunately, some systems we’ve seen take 90 degree turns and run horizontally for 15+ feet. Also, some builders have used PVC and other incorrect materials to build the dryer vent. PVC allows moisture and humidity, making the lint clog faster. Dryer vents must be a certain gauge of metal, and the length of them must be shortened when you add 90 degree turns. The dryer has to put off a certain amount of blowing force to drive the lint through the system and outside.

We have replaced, installed and cleaned many dryer vents. Any and every job we do, we make sure to follow every rule and regulation. We are a company that people trust.
